Student Services Announcements

We are very concerned about the health and welfare of our students and parents as we navigate the current health crisis.   If there is anything your family needs during this time, please reach out to your school administrators, counselors, social workers, and nurses.  We are all in this community together and must do our best to take care of each other in these uncertain times.
Beyond the everyday needs, we are continuing to provide educational resources for students, plan for the events that will happen when things return to "normal," and complete as many things as we can now electronically.
  • Scheduling:  We are working on registration for the 2021-22 school year.   If you would like to consult with your school counselor about this, we are available through several electronic means.
  • Scholarships:   Scholarships will still be awarded.  Please submit your applications electronically as much as possible.  Seniors, refer to the announcements on the Senior Canvas Page for more information.  Contact your counselor if you need assistance.
  • Counseling Services:  Students who have been receiving services through Jodi Province Counseling may still access those services electronically through Jodi Province @ 336-818-0733

Previous Announcements

It's the beginning of a new semester, which means it's time to start planning for graduation for the seniors and next year for the underclassman.   Here are some things that will be coming up in the next few months....

Beginning in February the counselors will be visiting students in classrooms to talk about changes to the curriculum and to assist them in registering for classes for next year.  Please contact your counselor if you would like to have an appointment to discuss your course plan.

For seniors this is the time to be apply for local scholarships.  There is a lot of money out there for students going to 2 and 4 year colleges.  Don't let the free money slip by!   Seniors should be checking the announcements on the Senior Canvas page and also on the Wilkes County Schools scholarship page.  https://wilkescountyschoolsscholarships.weebly.com/
