Locks/Lockers

STUDENT LOCKER ASSIGNMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• **Activity Fee:** A fee of **$10.00** covers the cost of the locker lock and all school mailings throughout the year.
• **Payment:** This fee must be paid to your **homeroom teacher** during the **first five days of school.**
• **Lock Replacement Fee:** If the provided lock is lost or damaged, a replacement fee of **$5.00** must be paid.

• ► Lockers are assigned based on the student's **homeroom** each semester.
• ► **Prohibited Locks:** Locks brought from home are **not permitted** and will be promptly removed by custodial staff.
• ► **Sharing Prohibited:** Lockers should **not be shared** at any time.
• ► **Unsecured Items:** Items left in unlocked lockers will be cleared out. The school is **not responsible for lost or stolen items.**

**Lockers are the property of Wilkes County Schools.** They may be searched at any time without student and/or parent permission.

Students who choose to use a locker will be held responsible for anything **illegal** that is found inside.
