Wilkes County Schools hosted the Poetry Out Loud Competition on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Congratulations to the winner, Sophie S. from North Wilkes High School, and the runner-up, Sarah W. from Wilkes Central High School. All contestants did an incredible job!

Spring Driver's Education Classes are being planned at all four high schools. Wilkes County Schools is hosting a holiday art contest for all WCS students! One winner will be selected from each of the three categories: elementary, middle, and high school. The winning artwork will be used as the official district Christmas card for 2024! All submissions are due on Monday, December 2nd by 5 PM. Our school system wants to give back to our neighbors in Ashe County who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. We are collecting items for care packages that will be delivered in December.
