Mrs. Krenz grew up in Michigan and is a graduate of Central Michigan and Western Michigan University. She has over 20 years in education and transitioned from teacher to school counselor in the fall of 2016. She enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, watching HGTV, and working out.

Ms. Lore is a new school counselor who is excited to join the Wilkes community! She is a proud double graduate of Appalachian State University and a first-generation college student. She loves spending time with her pet rabbit and cat, working out or spending time outside in Boone, reading, and hanging out with her siblings and baby nephew.

Mrs. Treadway

Nurse Treadway grew up in Wilkes County and graduated from East Wilkes High School. She has been a nurse for 16 years, with 15 years prior working in the Emergency Department. She is a graduate of WCC and the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Treadway is a lover of all things DISNEY! Besides serving Wilkes Central High School, she also serves Boomer Ferguson Elementary School.

School Social Worker

Ms. Blevins

Ms. Brandy Blevins has been a social worker since 2014, graduating from Appalachian State University. She came to WCHS in 2017 and currently services five schools in the Central District. She is at WCHS Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Ms. Blevins is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and pets (two chihuahuas and one cat).

GEAR UP Coordinator

Ms. Whittington

Ms. Whittington is the GEAR UP Coordinator for the Central and North Districts, splitting her time among Wilkes Central High School, North Wilkes High School, and North Wilkes Middle School. She is an Air Force veteran, a former middle grades educator, and a graduate of Appalachian State and UMass-Lowell.

Mrs. Duncan is a Career Coach serving Wilkes Central High School. She is a proud graduate of Wilkes Central and Appalachian State University. She enjoys going to concerts and loves to travel to Nashville and Disney World.
