Eagle Nation Weekly Announcements for January 13-17, 2025

Monday, January 13th, will be our last day of regular classes for the 1st semester.  All first semester exams will begin on Tuesday, January 14th. 

Attendance appeal forms that were due on January 10th may be turned in to the main office when students return to campus. 

We invite you to join our booster club meetings on Monday beginning at 6 p.m. with WCHS Athletic Boosters and Band Boosters at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday kicks off our exam week.  Be sure that you have reviewed the exam calendar carefully and read over the Exam Week FAQs.  All students with a morning exam should arrive to campus each morning no later than 7:40 a.m. If you have an afternoon exam, make sure you are in your testing room no later than 12:30 p.m. each day.  School will operate on a regular schedule each day, lunch will be served daily for students from 11:30-12:30, and buses will run regular routes daily.  Please help us ensure that students are well-rested, on-time, and best prepared daily so that they can put forth their best efforts on exams and finish the 1st semester strong! Also, please review procedures if students with morning exams choose to leave school after the morning testing session is completed. Students must have parent permission to leave or otherwise must remain on campus for the remainder of the instructional day. Note: If for any reason WCS should issue a 2-hour delay for inclement weather during 1st semester exams, students should arrive for morning exams no later than 9:40 a.m. and afternoon exams by 1:00 p.m. 

Class of 2025 families:  Herff Jones has extended the deadline for ordering cap & gown packages until Jan. 31st.  

Looking ahead:  There will be no school for students on Monday, January 20, 2025, for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday and January 21, 2025 for a required teacher workday.  We look forward to serving our Eagle family in the 2nd semester as we begin 2nd semester classes on Tuesday, January 22nd.
