Eagle Nation Weekly Announcements for March 4-8, 2024

This week, our state observes Severe Weather Awareness Week.  We will be discussing weather safety tips throughout the week and practicing a tornado drill.  Severe weather can happen at any time, so be proactive in making safety plans at home, too.

This week is also National School Social Worker Week. We appreciate all the care and support Mrs. Walsh gives to our Eagle Nation!

On Monday, students who were identified as juniors at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year will receive important information in homeroom regarding the upcoming administration of the ACT, which they will take on Tuesday, March 12th.  This test is required for all current juniors in North Carolina, so all 11th graders need to be well-rested and on time for testing on March 12th.

Seniors will receive important information in homeroom regarding any remaining fee balances they have on Monday.  Juniors and seniors planning to attend prom will need to pay any unpaid fees by March 20th.  Families:  If you have any questions or need assistance regarding any of this information, please reach out to our main office.

As a reminder, Tuesday, March 5th, is an optional teacher workday.  There is no school for students that day.

Looking Ahead

Our choral students’ production of “Footloose” will open on Thursday, March 14th at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased in our main office.

We look forward to serving you this week!
