Eagle Nation Weekly Announcements for January 20-24, 2025
We hope all of you are enjoying the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday today.
There is also no school for students on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 for a required teacher workday.
Wednesday will begin our 2nd semester of classes. All students will need to report to homeroom for Eagle Impact at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday. Only students who may have been incorrectly placed into a class for which they have already earned credit or those who may not have been assigned to a class during a particular period will be allowed to have schedule changes. Students will continue to go to homeroom each day for Eagle Impact this week and next week, and report cards will be issued on Wednesday, January 29th. Once students receive report cards, please review these with your student, and help him/her make goals for the new semester with regards to attendance and grades.
In Eagle Impact this week, 9th-11th grade students will meet with our student services team during Eagle Impact to learn important information about our upcoming registration process for next year. Please make sure you ask your student this week to share this information with you, and have conversations with him/her about what classes they are considering for next year. All students must have a parent signature on registration forms before classes will be selected for your student in PowerSchool. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s school counselor, Mrs. Krenz or Mrs. Welborn. The 2025-26 WCHS Registration Guide is linked here and under the Parents tab on our school website.

Thank you to all of our families for supporting us and our students last week as we navigated weather challenges that required us to change our testing schedule! We look forward to supporting all of our Eagles LEAD in the new semester, and we will see our students back at The Nest on Wednesday!
