College and Financial Aid

Researching colleges and scholarships can be a daunting process but there are a lot of resources to help you, one of which is your school counselor.    To plan effectively for college, students need start working with their counselor early in their high school career to choose the right courses to meet the requirements colleges have for enrollment.

Colleges and scholarship committees use many criteria for selection including a student's academic record (grades and course rigor), standardized test scores (ACT, SAT, other placement tests), and school and community involvement (clubs, sports, volunteer activities, employment, summer camps, mission trips, etc.).

The resources on this page will be continuously updated so check back often.  Keep in close contact with your counselor as well.  The better she knows you and your interests, the more opportunities she can send your way.

It's always time to work on scholarship applications.
