Student Services Announcements
The end is near.... but that doesn't mean that it's time to stop learning. Use your summer to read something for personal enjoyment, start searching and making a list of scholarships (and their due dates) that are a good fit for you, continue exercising your brain for the ACT and SAT tests, visit colleges, start working on college essays.... there are so many possibilities that will make your school year less stressful.
Bitter sweet moment.... We are sorry to see Mrs. Duncan leaving us to accept a position as a career coach through Wilkes Community College. We are very hopeful however that in her new position she will be serving Wilkes Central and we will still get to benefit from her expertise, encouragement, and smiling face at least a couple of days each week.
If you were previously communicating with Mrs. Duncan about a student issue and need additional assistance, please contact your student's counselor.
The counselors don't officially work during the summer but if you have questions about college applications, academic advising, or the like, please email us and we will be glad to assist or find someone who can.
If you are having a mental health crisis, please contact one of the local mental health providers or emergency services.
